Health and Physical Education

At Gordon Primary School, Health and Physical Education empowers students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead active, healthy and respectful lives. Our program is aligned with the Australian Curriculum and focuses on the two interrelated strands of Personal, Social and Community Health and Movement and Physical Activity. Through a wide range of engaging activities, students develop fundamental movement skills, teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship and an understanding of lifelong health and wellbeing. Students participate in weekly Physical Education lessons, where they develop movement skills, game sense, fitness and confidence while learning the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.

All students are allocated to one of our four school houses, fostering a strong sense of belonging, teamwork and school spirit throughout the year. Students proudly represent their house during school carnivals and a variety of sporting and community events.
