Working With Vulnerable People Check
Do you volunteer in the school? Do you have any contact with children on the school grounds, other than dropping off and picking up your own children? If so, it is now a requirement in the ACT that you have a Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) check. The Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 (the WWVP Act) commenced on 8 November 2012. It aims to reduce the risk of harm or neglect to vulnerable people in the ACT. It is free for the public and can be obtained by visiting any ACT Government Shopfront.
For more information and to register or renew your WWVP card please visit the Access Canberra Website.
All registration forms are now completed online.
